Council President Cameron Emond opened the Public Hearing with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Braden Evans, White County Area Plan, presented Ordinance Amendment A79 regarding Renewable Energy. Council Vice President Michael Johnson made a motion to accept Ordinance Amendment A79. Council member Darwin Miller second the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
Clerk Treasurer Judy Thomas presented Ordinance 2024-11-19 for approval, concerning additional appropriations for ARPA funds. Council Vice President Michael Johnson made a motion to approve Ordinance 2024-11-19. Council Member Darwin Miller second the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
Council President Cameron Emond closed the Public Hearing and opened the Council Meeting.
The November 6, 2024 Council Meeting Minutes and Executive Meeting Minutes were presented for approval. Council Member Darwin Miller made a motion to approve the minutes. Council Vice President Michael Johnson second the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
The October 2024 financials were presented for approval. Council Member Darwin Miller made a motion to approve the financials. Council Vice President Michael Johnson second the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
Jeff Province (absent) sent in a report stating that W.W Williams will be repairing the generator at the Wastewater Plant.
The Park Board requested speed bump signs for the park. After some discussion, the request was denied. Council President Cameron Emond expressed concern over speed bumps needing to be removed for snow removal.
Kenny Burns, Fire Chief, announced that the Wolcott Fire Department will be hosting the District Fire Chief Meeting.
The Mainstreet Committee will be putting Christmas lights and banners up soon. The Christmas Light contest will be on December 21st this year.
Clerk Treasurer, Judy Thomas, reported that there are still two street lights that are out. Judy then brought up some residential complaints to the Council.
The Council will be performing interviews at the end of the week for the Water/Wastewater Operator position.
Vince Hall, Street Department, notified the Council that the leaf vac is broken.
